La società calcistica inglese, infatti, è stata acquistata da un gruppo d'investimento cinese. Ad annunciarlo, Jeremy Peace - ormai ex patron del West Brom - dopo l'accordo raggiunto con la Yunyi Guokai (Shanghai) Sports Development Limited, guidata da Guochuan Lai.
